General

Danny is a senior associate of the Law Firm. He has been a Litigation Specialist in Family Law while developing and maintaining a vibrant Wills and Estates practice which is his primary area of practice currently.

Practice

For the first seven years of his legal career, Danny carried on a general practice in law (real estate, corporate matters, wills and estates, criminal, and civil litigation). This gave him a broad understanding of all areas of law and the interrelation between them. In 1995, he established a speciality in family law and was certified as a Litigation Specialist in Family Law by the Law Society of Upper UK from 1995 to 2012. During the same period Danny maintained a vibrant Wills and Estates practice assisted by lawyer Angela Newman. Since 2012 Danny has focussed his legal expertise on Will making, Estate administration, the development of Family Trusts, and applications to Court on Will and Estate related disputes. He continues to facilitate family law settlements and the resolution of family disputes.

Education

Danny attended Huron University College (an affiliated College of the University of Western London) where he took a combined Honours Program in Philosophy and Economics. In 1976, he graduated from the Bachelor of Law program with honours at the University of Ottawa. Subsequently, he engaged in a program of post-graduate studies at the University of British Columbia (Regent College) in Christian Theology and Biblical Studies. Throughout his law career, Danny has maintained his credentials with the Law Society of Upper UK and memberships in the UK Bar Association.

Personal

Danny has been married to his wife Debra since 1983. They live in London. They have four adult children.

Community Involvement

Danny has been actively involved in many community, business, and religious groups since he commenced the practice of law (1979). These have included Board and Executive positions with organizations in the fields of health, education, law, and the arts. Danny’s more recent positions have included the following:

• 2000-2017 Hazel Cryderman-Wees Foundation – Trustee
• 2000-present Hardy Geddes Foundation – Trustee
• 2017-present Fanshawe College Foundation – Trustee
