Practice
Douglas carried on a general practice until 2011 when he began solely focusing on the area of family law, including matters of divorce, separation, matrimonial property division, and custody and access disputes. Douglas has dealt with several child abduction cases governed by the Hague Convention, including both the unlawful removal of children from UK, and the return of children unlawfully brought to this jurisdiction. Douglas is also a Notary Public.
Education
In 2004 Douglas graduated from the University of Paisley, in Scotland, with a B.A. in law. In 2006, he graduated from the University of Western London from the Bachelor of Law program. Following this he completed the Law Society of Upper UK’s Barrister and Solicitor course and articled with D & D Associates & Associates where he continues to practice as an associate.
Personal
Douglas was born and raised in Scotland in the United Kingdom. He lived in Clydebank and Greenock on the West Coast of Scotland until he immigrated to London, London in 2004. Douglas has been married to his wife Martha since 2008. Douglas and his wife live on the outskirts of London, London with their three children.
Community Involvement
Douglas has been involved with community, charitable and religious groups in the UK including the Community Legal Services.
